Crust & Crumb: Rustic Loaves

Slow-fermented sourdough and hearty breads

Our loaves are made with time-honoured methods and a long overnight ferment for depth of flavour. Look out for classic sourdough with a glossy, blistered crust; brown soda bread with buttermilk and toasted oats; and seeded wheat loaves studded with pumpkin and sunflower seeds. We often finish loaves with a sprinkle of West Cork sea salt or locally milled flour from nearby mills, reflecting the season’s best grains.

Flaky & Golden: Pastries

Buttery croissants, filled danishes and seasonal tarts

Expect a small batch of laminated pastries each day, all made with high-fat butter from local dairies. Croissants and pain au chocolat come out crisp and layered; almond croissants are finished with toasted flaked almonds and a dusting of icing sugar. Seasonal danishes and tarts showcase market fruit — think strawberry and elderflower in early summer or spiced apple and pear in autumn — all baked to order while supplies last.

Jams & Preserves

Fruit-forward spreads made from Kinsale market produce

Our preserves are cooked in small batches to capture bright, honest flavour. You might find strawberry conserve made with berries from nearby growers, tangy lemon curd using free-range eggs, or a rhubarb and ginger jam to lift your morning toast. These jars are perfect with our loaves or as gifts — limited runs only, so pick one up when you see it on the shelf.

Weekly Specials & Celebration Cakes

Rotating bakes for birthdays, teapots and treat times

Each week we feature a special cake or traybake inspired by local producers — examples include a sea-salted caramel sponge made with West Cork cream, an orchard apple traybake using nearby apples, or a lemon and elderflower layer cake in season. We also accept bespoke orders for celebration cakes; please contact us in advance to discuss flavours and availability, as these bakes are crafted to order and limited by our small-batch approach.

Storage tips and special requests: for crusty breads, keep in a paper bag at room temperature and refresh in a hot oven for a few minutes; for cakes, store in a cool place or refrigerate if decorated with cream or fresh fruit and bring to room temperature before serving. Pastries are best eaten the same day but can be refreshed in the oven. If you have dietary requirements or need a bespoke order — gluten-free, dairy-free, vegan or any other preference — please note these when ordering on the presales page or add a message at checkout. We will confirm any adjustments and advise on ingredient swaps or cross-contamination risk so your order is exactly as you need.
